'What I love about coaching is the powerful and lasting impact it can have on people's lives - it makes room for people to have space to think, get some much needed clarity, and feel empowered to move forward in a way that feels achievable and exciting'

Why coaching?

Whilst coaching should not be confused with psychotherapy and counselling, it is a wonderful way for poeple to better understand themselves, and their past, in order to get some perspective on where they are in the present and identify new options, and what it is that they want to work towards and achieve in their future. It gives people space to be themselves and permission to dream and imagine what is possible.

Coaching is future-focussed. It's about creating that vision, getting clear on the outcome, and making a plan for how to get there. It's not about the coach telling the client what to do or think, but it's about allowing the client to think and unlock the answers from within themselves.

- Coaching can be a wonderfully empowering and transformative experience.

It's also about supporting the client as they negotiate change in their personal or professional life, in a way and at a pace that's right for them. Coaching therefore lends itself perfectly to supporting aspiring freelancers as they navigate the transition to freelancing.

Change is complex, and it often requires the client to face their own limiting beliefs, and overcome their resistance in order to achieve long-lasting, sustainable transformation. Coaching helps to break down this process into manageable pieces, so the client can build their confidence and capability with each new step.

Above all, coaching is a judgement-free, gentle and supportive space and my focus as your coach is on creating a safe environment where your have the optimum conditions to discover your truth, create your own plan and feel inspired and empowered to reach for your dreams and fulfil your potential.

What is a typical coaching session like?

Coaching with Angharad Hart

Whilst all coaches will work slightly differently, here is a brief description of what a typical coaching session might look like with me - but of course every session is different because every client is unique!

Sessions are typically held online via zoom - You will receive a link to join by email when you book online. The session will last between 60 and 75 minutes, depending on what's most useful to you.

Each session starts with some general 'contracting', as I explain what you can expect during the session. We may then do some initial breathing and somatic exercises, just to relax into the space. I find coaching usually works best when we feel calm in our minds and our body, but we can skip this part if you prefer!

We then have a conversation - a conversation with purpose. Through some gentle questioning we will agree an area to focus on in the session, or a question we can explore together*.

We will then go where the topic takes us, whilst retuning to the question throughout to keep us focussed and on-track. Sometimes the conversation may branch out as new information comes to the surface. We might also experiment with different models and techniques, such as change models, visualisations or drawing exercises.

As we near the end of the session, we will usually have a brief review to identify what new information you have gained in the session, and what actions you would like to take away to work on, and continue your progress.

You also have the option of a picking an oracle card at the end of the session, for a message to take away with you as you work towards your goals, but this is entirely optional.

*If were working through a particular programme together, this will be our guide but I am always keen to leave room should you wish to bring something else to the session. These are always your sessions as we use them in the way that is most useful to you!
